What material are X & L-Banners made of?

The X-Banner consists of an X-shaped frame made of fiberglass and steel.In this, a banner with eyelets is inserted into plastic hooks. The L-Banner consists of an L-shaped frame made of aluminum,to which a banner is attached using clamping rails. The systems are available in various sizes and with different materials and are particularly suitable for indoor use. An advantage for flexible usage times is that X & L-Banners can be set up and taken down quickly and easily and can be conveniently transported by one person in the supplied transport bag.

All materials meet the testing criteria for fire protection class B1 according to DIN 4102, which makes them flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. Material and processing

The X & L-Banner system consists of a lightweight but stable frame and flexible rods that keep the banner taut. Two materials are available: PVC Frontlit Premium and Velum-Tex Greyback.PVC Frontlit Premium is extremely durable, scratch-resistant, and weatherproof. The print on this material is UV-resistant and only fades marginally over a long period. However, due to the plasticizers diffusing from the material, the edges may slightly curl, making it particularly suitable for short usage times. The Velum-Tex Greyback is a textile fabric optimized for X & L-Banners with a grey back, which allows for excellent image and print quality and is printed using high-resolution sublimation printing.

What printing process is used?

The PVC Premium is printed in high resolution with up to 1440 DPI using the UV printing process. In this process, the colors are printed onto the material and then cured with the help of a UV light fixer. The hardening of the color after printing results in high UV resistance. The UV resistance ensures a long lifespan without loss of quality, even with daily direct sunlight. In this process, two print heads are used per color, resulting in dense solid colors and soft color gradients.

The Velum-Tex Greyback is printed using the sublimation printing process with up to 1440 DPI. In this process, the color is 'vaporized' into the material at high temperature, causing the dye to bond with the fiber. This technique not only makes the banner very resistant to UV light, but it can also be gently washed without fading. Despite the fine and slightly transparent structure of the material, colors are reproduced in a contrasting and vibrant manner. Moreover, the printing technique is particularly environmentally friendly as no solvents are used.
