What are fabric and textile banners?
Fabric banners are lightweight advertising carriers made of polyester fabric, characterized by reflection-free surfaces, brilliant colors, and a noble textile finish that sets them apart from conventional PVC banners Thanks to various materials and printing techniques, they are suitable for both short-term promotions in shop windows and permanent brand appearances at trade fairs or events.

Variants of fabric banners - find your perfect model

Our fabric and textile banners are tailored to your individual requirements. Choose from the following categories to quickly find the right product for your purpose.

Decorative indoor banners

For elegant room design, use our classic decorative fabrics. The Velum-Tex is characterized by even color application and a noble textile look. Would you like room dividers or double-sided banners? Then we recommend Link textVelum-Tex Blockout with integrated blocking layer. This fabric can be printed on both sides without showing through.
For particularly high-quality applications, Velum Tex Satin is available. It has a noble glossy surface for a stylish, shimmering look.


Backlit banners

Present your motifs perfectly with LED frames Our Velum-Tex Backlight delivers brilliant colors and optimal light diffusion. For higher brightness and special effects, Velum-Tex Backlight with a slightly glossy surface is suitable. The colors are printed using the double-strike method with double color application. In combination with the light-permeable material, the motifs shine particularly intensely when backlit and come into their own optimally.


Light-blocking blackback banners

At brightly lit locations, Blackback banners guarantee an intense print image: Velum-Tex Blackback features a rubberized back that blocks all light. This maintains the color strength of your motifs even with direct backlighting.


Outdoor textile banners

are particularly suitable for temporary outdoor applications. Airtex Magic – a robust textile fabric with PVC coating. This is significantly more weather-resistant than conventional fabric banners. It is ideal for large-scale facade advertising or outdoor events where a textile look is desired.


Flag fabric banners

For permanently wind-permeable outdoor applications, we recommend our specially developed flag fabrics. The Velum Flag Standard is the solid basis for classic flagpoles with good color effect and wind flow. The Velum Flag Premium offers an even higher fabric density and color brilliance for particularly high-quality uses. For wind-permeable large areas, we recommend Velum Flag Mesh, while the Velum Flag Longlife impresses with reinforced durability. All flag fabrics are UV-resistant and ensure long-lasting print results on masts, scaffolding, or fences.


Non-woven banners for large-scale applications

Non-woven banners are a cost-effective solution for large-format advertising spaces with broad impact, for example in board advertising, construction fences, or event areas. The material is lightweight, well printable, and particularly suitable for short-term uses with high visibility.
Please note: Due to the lower material thickness, non-woven should always be well secured, e.g., with eyelets or staples, as it is subjected to greater stress in large-scale use.


The right material for your fabric banner

A fabric or textile banner is made of knitted or woven polyester. The sublimation printing uses dyes that are vaporized at around 190 °C not only onto the surface but deep into the textile fibers. This makes the prints particularly scratch-resistant and durable. Even when damaged, no white underlayer is visible, as the fibers are completely dyed.
Plastic-coated fabrics, on the other hand, can only be printed using UV direct printing and do not achieve the same depth and color durability as true sublimation materials.

How do fabric banners differ from PVC banners?

Fabric banners offer a pleasant textile feel, brilliant colors, and are easy to mount. The sublimation printing ensures that the colors penetrate deep into the fibers. As a result, they are durable, scratch-resistant, and permanently vibrant.
Most fabric banners can be folded compactly; especially sublimated materials are well suited for this. Creases usually smooth out on their own with good tension. However, some fabrics – such as Airtex (UV printing) or Blackback with a rubberized back – should be better stored rolled to avoid damage.
Due to their fine structure, even detailed motifs can be excellently represented. PVC banners, on the other hand, are more robust and water-repellent. This makes them ideal for long-lasting outdoor use. However, they are less flexible in handling and not as high-quality in effect as textile banners.
